August Updates

WORSHIP RETREAT The Worship team will have their annual fall retreat on Saturday, August 23, from 9 AM - 2 PM at the church. We will be planning for worship through New Years.

5th FRIDAY FREE LUNCH We will be serving a noon meal to the homeless at the Free Lunch Center in Iowa City on Friday, August 29. We welcome anyone who has a heart for serving. You can assist by cooking the meal and/or serving the meal. Please text Lynn Jansen at 319.936.7164 if you would like to help!

5th SUNDAY POTLUCK We will have the opportunity to come together and share a meal between services from 8:45 - 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 31. The theme this month is Tailgate! Weather permitting we will meet outside - bring your chair, wear your favorite team's jersey and let's celebrate the end of summer and the arrival of fall! 

Please bring a dish to share! The warming oven is available in the kitchen at 7:30 AM, if needed. Beverages, dishes, and pancakes will be provided. This is always a wonderful gathering of our church family with lots of great food and great conversations! Many thanks to the Kitchen Team for their assistance in set-up and clean-up!
