Sunday, October 11, the DeGowin Student Organization from University of Iowa Health Center provided an opportunity for people in our community to donate blood.
Mandy, our contact with DeGowin writes, "Thank you so much for hosting the drive yesterday – it was a great day! I hope you all had a good experience. If you or anyone else from the church has any feedback for me, I would welcome it!
We ended up with 21 people registering to donate, and of those 19 were eligible to donate, so only two deferrals. That is a great turn out, particularly for a first-time blood drive! Thank you for all the work you put into organizing the drive and recruiting donors.
We have Sundays in March open if you would like to get another drive on the calendar."
We are reserving March 7th for our next community blood drive! Thank you to all who donated, provided hospitality and baked treats for our donors and the students and staff who were present on Sunday!
